The long term unemployed have been a topic of national debate and much concern. Numerous studies show that the long-term unemployed are frequently overlooked for jobs; a Princeton study even recently estimated only one in 10 long-term unemployed are hired annually. These are abysmal stats, and Evolv now has research that shows this discrimination is completely unfounded.

We looked at 500,000 performance data points across 20,000 employees and found that long-term unemployed perform no worse than those who have not been unemployed for long periods of time. In fact, the long-term unemployed perform better in some ares, specifically in customer-facing roles.
